“Cabernet Sauvignon, aged exclusively in American oak,” might be a simple way to define the Silver Oak philosophy, but it goes to the heart of their winemaking. Concentrating on the purity of Cabernet Sauvignon (with occasional small proportions of other blending grapes) and with barrels from their own cooperage, Silver Oak has helped to define the New World style since the 1970s.

The Alexander Valley bottling, utilizing grapes from a slightly cooler location, showcases bramble and raspberry along with more traditional cassis and sage notes.
