Christian Moueix, President of the Jean-Pierre Moueix négociant house in Bordeaux, had a long dalliance with Napa Valley wine dating to his time studying at UC Davis. In 1982 he co-founded the Dominus Estate, purchasing the historic Napanook Vineyard. Moueix brought his Bordelaise sensibilities to the wine philosophy at the estate, crafting balanced and age-worthy wines. The Napanook maintains that ethos with earthy aromas alongside orange zest and pomegranate and well-integrated tannins.
