Founded in 1998 by Valenti and Ramon Llagostera, Mas Doix is a certified organic vineyard in the heart of Priorat, the Catalan DOP renowned for its old-vine Garnatxa (aka Grenache). The estate’s Salanques is made from 40–80-year-old Garnaxta (65%), 80-year-old Cariñena (25%) and 15-year-old Syrah (10%). This wine exudes the classic power of the Priorat DOC while remaining supremely balanced, with big black fruit and graphite on the palate and a profound, smoky finish. Very tasty alongside a blue cheese steak.
