Domaine de Rome Sancerre

Acquired by the Baudry family in 1920, Domaine de Rome has been passed down through four generations in Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois, at the northern edge of the Sancerre appellation. Hervé Baudry now runs the estate alongside his two sons, Bastien and Quentin, with the domaine farmed organically since 2010. Tangerine and white peach shine on the nose, with a chalky minerality and subtle salinity carrying through to a harmonious, lingering finish - a classic Sancerre for oysters, goat cheese, or a simple grilled fish.
