The most recent project from husband-and-wife team, Luca Currado-Vietti and Elena Penna (formally of Vietti) produces some of BRIX’s favorite Piedmontese wines. This 100% Dolcetto, a grape for which Elena has long championed, is aimed at being as appealing and fun to drink as possible. The grapes are vinified whole cluster, and aged in stainless steel, producing a fragrant, structured and savory wine. Dolcetto, meaning "little sweet one", is nonetheless a dry wine, but displays much brighter fruit and slightly more residual sugar in comparison to other Piedmontese grapes. The flavor is rich and nuanced, with notes purple berries and fresh herbs, finishing with crunchy acidity.
