In 2011, Rui Robredo Madeira returned to this small winery located in the village of Vermiosa. Old vines of native grape varieties have perfectly adapted to the high altitude—these are some the highest vineyards in Portugal full of granite-rich soil. Red fruit leaps from the glass, with an elegant and discreet minerality. Medium bodied with vibrant acidity, try pairing this red blend with roasted lamb.
