The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking in Tuscany since 1385, now under the guidance of its 26th generation. Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, as well as one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region to not use white grapes. This particular Super Tuscan is composed of a unique selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Complex notes of ripe red cherries, rich berries, and a touch of roasted coffee and cocoa powder greet the nose. On the palate, the wine is vibrant with a fresh, lengthy finish layered in warm spice and silky tannins. An elegant classic!
