Among the oldest of the old guard in Rioja, Marques de Murrieta was founded in 1852 utilizing winemaking knowledge gained from Bordeaux. Grapes for this wine are harvested within view of Ygay Castle on the property. Cherry and tobacco aromas with some baking spice highlight a regal wine with a very un-regal price point.
