Coming from the Republic of Georgia, whose winemaking tradition dates to 8,000 years ago, this 100% Saperavi is a native variety grown in the Kakheti region. A unique red skinned grape that also has red pulp or flesh, it opens with notes of black plum and cherries. Full bodied with medium tannins and juicy acidity, uncork it with pork or lamb skewers, a hearty ragout, or aged cheeses.
