Marchesi di Barolo Dolcetto d'Alba Madonna Del Dono

For five generations the Abbona family have owned the Marchesi Di Barolo, an estate that began with the marriage of the Marquis of Barolo to French noblewoman Juliette Colbert. The family oversees 120 hectares in Piedmont, farming from hills with loose calcareous soils that are rich in quartz. This Dolcetto is classic in its Morello cherry fruitiness, soft tannins, and low acidity. A great everyday read to be had with a salumi board or lasagna.
