Jean Manciat produces limited quantities of pure Chardonnay in the Mâconnais. This cuvée is the smallest of his productions, taken from half a hectare of vines in Saint-Véran on sandy, limestone-rich soils, where it is farmed sustainably and harvested by hand. Flinty notes of prickly pear and green apple mingle on the tongue with more savory notes of white flour and papaya. A full bodied but fresh Chardonnay that could be enjoyed with a white truffle risotto.
