Maison Ventenac Chardonnay ‘Carole'

Stephanie Ramé and her husband Olivier took over the Maison Ventenac after her father retired in 2010 and have since converted this small estate in the Cabardes region of the Languedoc to organic farming. This bottle is mostly Chardonnay, with a small amount of Gros Menseng blended in. A full bodied, ripe wine, with classic red apple notes and a buttery mouthfeel, but with a touch of limey acidity keeping this maritime Chardonnay fresh and approachable.
