Groundwork Syrah

Curt Schalchlin works with vineyards throughout the Central Coast of California to craft wines in the spirit of France’s Rhône Valley. This 100 % Syrah is taken from the White Hawk and Evenson vineyards, both of which farm organically and sustainably. The fruit is partially destemmed and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Classic Syrah notes of olive tapenade, black pepper, and clove are balanced with a juicy acidity and textured mouthfeel. Perfect with roast lamb
