Esperance de Trotanoy Pomerol

Château Trotanoy, so named for the mixture of clay and gravel soils that harden to such an extent after rains that the terroir was christened ‘Trot-anoy’ or ‘too wearisome.’ For those with patience, however, that same soil yields a remarkably complex wine made from 100% Merlot. The Esperance is the second wine from the Chateau and is known for its powerful, fruit-driven flavors.
