Ch. Durfort Vivens Margaux 2019

Converted to biodynamic farming in the 2018 vintage (the first in Margaux), Château Durfort Vivens has received copious acclaim in the years since, with some considering it a “new cult wine.” Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the winemaker aims for a purity of fruit in the wine, aging 1/3 of the harvest in terracotta amphora to preserve riper flavors. Expect a medium body with dark fruits and some herbal and even lavender notes.
