Benjamin Leroux Cote de Nuits Village

Benjamin Leroux, formerly of Domaine du Comte Armand, has been running a small negociant business in the Beaune since 2007. The grapes in this Cote de Nuits Village are sourced from one of his apprentices in Comblanchien, a commune famous for its quarry, which apparently imparts a dusty, stony quality to the vines planted there. Perfumed and floral on the nose, the wine exudes a great purity of fruit, with a juicy, crunchy body and precise tannins. A wonderfully fresh Burgundian Pinot Noir.
