Ascheri Pelaverga di Verduno

At Ascheri, the focus is on sustainability with the intention of expressing the highest potential of the grapes and the land. Their Verduno Pelaverga was first made in 2004 as a cooperation between the worlds of profit and non-profit. This wine was in-part made by those involved in the world of business—for-profit companies that volunteer their knowledge or products to the impoverished. Ascheri donates ten percent of the profits from this wine to the project. Made with the rare Pelaverga grape, it has elegant notes of red fruit and flowers followed by a slight spicy finish. It is fantastically soft and easy to drink. Serve slightly chilled with grilled meats.
