Meaning “the fallen rock” in old Provencal, Roucas Toumbas is a small vineyard located within the town of Vacqueyras in the southern Rhone. It is run by a member of the Bouletin family, one of the oldest in the village, who have been established in the area since at least 1580. The Pichot Roucas is an even mix of Grenache, Syrah, and old Carignan. Notes of black and red fruit are harmonized by minute glimpses of tobacco and baking spices in this fantastic bistro blend.
