It all began in 1966 when Marcel and Yvonne Viallet bought the Clos Reserve vineyard in the Savoie region that lies in the French Alps just 40 miles south of Geneva. A blend of Gamay and the local variety Mondeuse, it develops notes of berries, dried herbs, and spices. Medium bodied with a long finish, serve it slightly chilled with a plate of charcuterie.
