Patricia Green Cellars "Dollar Bills Only" Pinot Noir
In 2001 when Patricia Green and her partner, Jim Anderson, had leftover fruit that couldn't go into their Reserve Pinot Noir, they created a second label called "Dollar Bills Only" (named after a handwritten sign hanging above the beloved jukebox at Lumpy's Tavern, a local watering hole in Dundee, OR.)
Produced just twice before, the "Dollar Bills Only" label is reserved for those times, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." With a difficult 2020 vintage due to wildfires, many wineries in Oregon made very little wine, and some none at all.
But our friends at Patrica Green decided to declassify all of their single vineyard juice and make one killer bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. With ripe cherry aromas that spill from the glass, it's got generous fruit flavors of wild berries and brambly red raspberries. Juicy enough to be your Tuesday night go-to, delicious enough to be your Saturday night sip.
