For fifteen years, Arianna Occhipinti has been thoughtfully crafting wines from Sicily’s indigenous grapes. Through inspiration and observation she has conceptualized the execution of three different single vineyard expressions of Frappato — with only 2700 bottles of each wine produced.
BB, Bombolieri. The smallest layer of sand covers solid limestone of varying colors. Pockets of clay mix in throughout the contrada, resulting in a wine that is floral and straightforward, with Frappato’s persistent acidity.
