Montevertine 'Montevertine' Toscana IGT

The Manetti family purchased the Montevertine estate as a vacation home in the 1960s, planting a small number of vines for their house wine. After receiving praise for the quality of their vino de la casa, Signor Manetti opted to plant more vineyards and bottle his wine for sale. With a focus on the Sangiovese grape, Montevertine is geographically in the heart of Tuscany, but chose to forgo the Chianti Classico designation and its rules. Floral with a concentration of tart red fruit and supple tannins, this is Sangiovese at its finest.
