The history of the Rennina Estate dates back to the Middle Ages and was once owned and operated by rulers of the Roman Empire. The Gaja family acquired it in 1994, and have since devoted it solely to producing Sangiovese Grosso, the only clone allowed to make Brunello di Montalcino. Elegant, yet concentrated, the Rennina is round and silky with an abundance of dark red and black fruit flavors, with a touch of savory balsamic and purple flowers.
