Domaine Bruno Clair was founded in 1986 and tends to 27 hectares of vines across eight villages in Burgundy’s Côte-d'Or. Two generations of the family currently oversee the operations, with Bruno and Isabelle’s children managing the day-to-day work in the vineyard and cellar. The Marsannay 'Les Grasses Tetes' Rouge comes from a plot of 30+ year old vines on clay-limestone soil. Half of the clusters are destemmed before fermentation and the wine sees a larger proportion of its 18–20-month aging in new oak, lending more baking spice and a touch of vanilla. Aromas of dark fruits with a more luscious texture than its 'Les Longeroies' cousin.
