Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Rouge

Born to a family of Burgundians but not winemakers, Leroux nonetheless found he had wine is his blood early, taking over management of Domaine du Comte Armand at the tender age of 24. Eight years later he began his own eponymous project, first buying grapes exclusively but eventually acquiring a few parcels of his own. The grapes he grows are certified organic with biodynamic principles and organic of those he purchases. The grapes for this red Burgundy are primarily from the Côte de Beaune. Unfined and unfiltered and aged in neutral oak, the wine is fresh and easygoing, with a hint of the greater depth found in Benjamin’s Premier Crus.
